Marketing

Campaigns and customer messages, from one place.

Send newsletters and promotions to the people who subscribed, keep every order and account email on a template you designed, and choose whether each text goes by SMS or WhatsApp.

Newsletters and promotions

Marketing › Promotional is where one-off email campaigns are written and sent. Name the campaign, write the subject and preview text, design the email, choose who gets it, and review everything before a single email goes out.

Open the draft, change the subject or audience, set a holdout group, then review and send it. Sample store and figures.
Save a draft at any point
A name is enough to save. Come back to the subject, the design and the audience later; drafts open again from the campaign list.
Designed in the email editor
Start from a ready-made design such as We're open, or from a blank page. The preview is rendered by the server, so it shows the email as it will be sent.
Three audiences
All email subscribers, the people who signed up on your Coming Soon page, or a customer group. Being in a group never counts as consent: only active subscribers are eligible.
Unsubscribe link included
Every marketing email gets a visible unsubscribe link in its footer, even if your design has none, in English, German, Spanish, French or Italian.
Recipients fixed at launch
Sending fixes the recipient list. Email consent is checked again before each email, so someone who unsubscribes in the meantime is skipped.
Holdout group
Keep 0–50% of eligible recipients back as a control group. For seven days, purchases by identified customers in both groups are compared. The results are descriptive and make no claim of statistical significance.
Delivery counts you can trust
Sent means accepted for delivery, not opened or confirmed in the inbox. Failed, suppressed and awaiting-confirmation emails are counted separately.
Cancel while it sends
A sending campaign can be cancelled. Recipients who have not been sent to yet are skipped; an email the provider already accepted cannot be recalled.
Automated emails
The Automated emails tab picks the templates for cart recovery, checkout recovery and review requests. When they are sent is set in Settings › Customer notifications.

Order and account emails on your templates

Marketing › Transactional Emails lists the automated emails your customers receive, from order confirmations and refund notices to sign-in codes, welcome emails and restock alerts, each with the template it sends. Choose a template or create one straight from the email, then edit and test it.

Choose another template for an email, filter by group, or switch the restock email off.
Edit the subject or preview text: Save Changes only becomes available once something has changed.
Every email in one list
Emails are grouped into orders, customers, Gift Cards, privacy and marketing consent. Search by name, or filter by group and status.
Choices save themselves
Choosing a template for an email saves straight away. If the save fails, the previous template stays selected.
Create from the email
Create and use template starts a new template for that email and assigns it, returning you to its place in the list.
Send a test
Send Test emails the template to an address you choose, with sample data in place of the variables and the sender address of your choice.
See them side by side
The Canvas view shows every email rendered with the template it currently sends.
In each customer's language
Translate a template into your store's other languages. Only the text changes; customers get their language once every text is translated, and your default language until then.
Sending stays in your control
Order emails follow Order notification controls, the restock email has its own Send this email switch, and sign-in codes are always sent.
Active templates only
Inactive templates can't be chosen for sending, so a template still in progress never goes out by mistake.
Assigned is not delivered
Template assigned means an email has a template. Delivery still depends on a verified sender and available email allowance.

SMS and WhatsApp, message by message

With an SMS or WhatsApp provider app connected, Marketing › Messages decides which channel carries each customer message and which messages are switched on. Message Templates keeps the text for every message, separately for each channel.

Choose SMS, WhatsApp or both for a message, or switch one off, then save.
Search the templates: each channel keeps its own text.
You choose the channel
Choose SMS, WhatsApp or both for each message type. A new store starts on SMS only.
No silent substitution
A channel delivers only while its provider is ready. Tringify never sends SMS in place of WhatsApp, or WhatsApp in place of SMS.
Codes go one way
Sign-in codes, contact confirmation codes and Gift Card codes use exactly one channel, so the same secret never goes out twice.
Separate text per channel
SMS and WhatsApp keep their own template for every message. Editing or resetting one never changes the other.
Values filled in for you
Each template lists the values it can use, such as the order number. Marketing texts must include the opt-out link value.
Consent per number and channel
Cart recovery, checkout recovery and review requests go only to numbers with SMS or WhatsApp marketing consent. Email consent never counts for texts.
Providers come from apps
SMS and WhatsApp are sent through provider apps you install and configure. Configure providers opens them from the Messages page.
Queued is not delivered
Queued means Tringify accepted the message for sending; Accepted means the provider took it. Neither is proof that it reached the phone.

Before the first send

Campaigns and notifications go out from sender addresses you set up in Settings › Email, within your store's email allowance.

Switch between the sections, make another address the default, or set where replies go.
Two kinds of sender
Transactional addresses send account and order emails; marketing addresses send newsletters and promotions. Each has its own limit, and only verified addresses can be the default.
Your own domain
Send from your Tringify subdomain or from a custom email domain once its DNS records are verified.
A sender from day one
The Tringify noreply sender is always there, so transactional emails can go out before you add your own address.
Separate allowances
Transactional and marketing emails are counted separately each month. A development store gets 500 transactional and 100 marketing emails a month.
Waits instead of failing
If marketing allowance runs out mid-campaign, sending is retried with increasing delays. Add allowance, or cancel the rest of the campaign.
Send history
Sender and delivery history lists each email with its result, kept for 90 days.

Reach your customers from the same place you run your store.
